our story
I am excited to bring my version of Oaxacan food to St. Louis, and I hope that I might be able to introduce local diners to something new!
Many of my recipes come from my childhood home in the Mexican state of Oaxaca, where I learned to cook at my mother's side. My mother passed away when I was 13 years old and my older sister stepped in to care and cook for the family. At the age of 16, I came to the U.S. and started working in restaurants, learning to make a regional favorite, Tex-Mex.
Diners will be able to find dishes such as tacos, burritos, and fajitas, but the menu will also highlight some of the dishes that I learned to cook while growing up in Oaxaca such as tlayuda and tamales.
