Why We're Different
Meaning of La Oaxaqueña
La Oaxaquena (La Wa-Ha-Kenya) means female of or pertaining to my childhood home, the Mexican state of Oaxaca. My recipes come from cooking at my mother’s side. My sister and father are my guides in creating the menu - they taste test everything to ensure that it is exactly like home.
La Oaxaqueña will be the only Oaxacan restaurant in St. Louis. I want to offer another flavor to people, so they can know the taste of authentic Oaxacan food.
